Founded in 2000 by Manuel Cortes, our company was born from a dream and a strong work ethic. Inspired by his mother, Manuel began his career in the cleaning industry as a cleaner, quickly advancing to manager and developing a true passion for the profession.
What started with just three employees, including Manuel himself, has now grown into a team of 26 dedicated professionals proudly serving businesses across Monterey County. Despite this growth, Manuel remains actively involved in operations, ensuring the highest quality standards are met in every service.
Today, the company also benefits from the leadership of his son, Manuel Jr., whose dedication has been instrumental in modernizing processes, supervising the team, and driving continuous improvements. His active role reflects the continuity of the family’s vision and passion for excellence, guaranteeing personalized, high-quality service for every client.

Originally known as Cortes House Cleaning, we rebranded in 2010 as General Cleaning Solution, and in 2021 officially incorporated as General Cleaning Solution Monterey Bay, Inc. — continuing our mission to deliver reliable, high-quality commercial and industrial cleaning services.
