Founded in 2000 by Manuel Cortes, the company was built on a clear vision, strong values, and a deep commitment to hard work. Inspired by his mother, Manuel began his journey in the cleaning industry working hands-on as a cleaner, quickly advancing into management roles and developing a lasting passion for the profession.
What began with just three employees, including Manuel himself, has grown into a team of 26 dedicated professionals proudly serving businesses throughout Monterey County. Despite this growth, Manuel remains closely involved in daily operations, personally overseeing quality standards and ensuring excellence in every service we provide.
Today, the company is strengthened by the leadership of his son, Manuel Jr., whose dedication has been fundamental in modernizing operations, overseeing daily activities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. His active involvement reflects the continuity of the family’s vision and values, ensuring consistent, personalized, and high-quality service for every client.

Originally founded as Cortes House Cleaning, the company rebranded in 2010 as General Cleaning Solution and, in 2021, officially incorporated as General Cleaning Solution Monterey Bay, Inc. This evolution represents our ongoing commitment to delivering dependable, professional commercial and industrial cleaning solutions tailored to the needs of each client.
